Father God, I come before You right now lifting up my brother David. Lord, Your Word says to taste and see that You are good, and that the man who trusts in You is blessed. I anchor this week's prayer there, because David is asking for something bold: for Your Spirit to come down on him in power, and for the people around him to taste Your goodness because of it. That is the prayer of a man who already believes You are good. I am adding my voice to his.
Holy Spirit, come. Come on David in power this week. Fill him. Let him walk in Your presence so tangibly that people notice something different about him before he says a word. And Lord, honor the prayer he has been praying for his residency friends. He spent time with them earlier this summer, and some of them do not know You. Keep working in their hearts long after the reunion ended. Bring the conversations back to mind. Open doors for follow-up. Let David's life keep preaching to them from a distance, and let one of them reach out with a question only You could have planted.
Father, David wants to lead his family well. He wants to bring them into Your presence, not just tell them about it. Give him that. Make him the spiritual leader in his home that You made him to be. Let his wife and children see a man who walks with You and want what he has. Give him wisdom for the daily rhythms, patience for the hard moments, and a hunger for You that is contagious in his house.
Lord, I lift up his heart and his career. He told me there is business turmoil that is difficult but shaping him, and that he wants to hear Your will and see where You want him. Father, that is a man trusting Your goodness in the middle of a storm. Honor it. Speak clearly. Show him the next step. Where the turmoil is shaping him, let him see Your hand in it. Where it is just noise, silence it. Let him come out of this season with a clearer sense of who You made him to be and where You want him.
Give him the trust to wait when the answer is not yet clear. Waiting on a good God is not wasted time. It is preparation.
And Father, I rebuke every attack of the enemy on David in this season. Satan, you have no authority here. You do not get to use business turmoil to convince David that God has forgotten him. You do not get to make him feel like a fraud when he leads his family. You do not get to close the doors God has opened with his friends. We see your schemes, and we shut the door on every one of them in the name of Jesus.
Father, build a wall of protection around David's heart, his family, his business, and every friendship You are working through. Send Your angels ahead of him into every room. Let him feel Your nearness so clearly that the enemy's voice loses every inch of ground it tried to take.
Refill what is empty, Lord. Give David moments of joy this week that come out of nowhere, just to remind him that You see him, You delight in him, and You are fighting for him.
I thank You for David. I thank You for a brother who asks for Your Spirit in power and then goes and lives like he means it.

Taste and see that the Lord is good, brother. You are asking God for something most men never ask for: His Spirit in power, His presence in your home, His will in your career. Here is what I want you to see. Every one of those prayers rests on one foundation. You are asking because you already believe He is good.
That is what your residency friends needed to see this summer, and what they still need to see now. Not a polished argument. A man who has tasted God's goodness and cannot hide it. The trip is over, but the Holy Spirit is not done with those conversations. Keep praying for them by name. Keep the door open.
And about the turmoil: shaping hurts. But you said it yourself, it is shaping you. That is God being good to you in a way that does not feel good yet. Trust Him with where it is going. He knows where He wants you, and He is not hiding it from you. He is preparing you for it.
